Supreme quality pure wool Donegal Tweed, woven in County Tipperary, Ireland by John Hanly & Co., a maker of fine fabrics since 1893. From a heather blue base the distinctive weave is flecked with an array of colour. For winter trouser warmth, Donegal tweed hits the nail on the head. Comfortable to wear, and the fine weave makes it flexible too. Lined to the knee for added comfort.

The cut has been changed since my last purchase a few years ago, and the new cut simply does not make sense. The side seams are not at their natural positions, and as a result the pants do not sit properly. This cannot be easily fixed with an alteration as it would require a complete remodelling. Too bad. Had to do an alteration anyhow and then still compromised on how the result looks like. This product is an abuse of a high-quality fabrique.
